Tales from Karatera 2: Spiritbinders

Finally, after much ado, Tales from Karatera 2: Spiritbinders is now available to read! If you click here or head on over to “Short Stories” at the top, you can have a look for yourself! Read as Chloe, a young girl with a supposed gift for spiritbinding, learns about the various types of magics in the world of Karatera, and decides which one she chooses as her own!

Now, I know I said in a previous post that I was going to move this to number 4 in the reading order, but I think I’ve changed my mind. Spiritbinders is number 2 again, with Clanless being number 3 and A Matter of Faith being number 4. The end result is that you guys are actually reading these stories in the order they’re meant to be read, so I think it all works out!

As a reminder, if you want to be alerted to when I post a new story, consider signing up for the Sprouting Nonsense emailing list and following me on Bluesky and Tumblr, which I update whenever I put up a new post. I’m more active on Bluesky at the moment, posting daily about my WIPs and sharing a video game project that a dear friend of mine is working on. It’s called the ARPG Collection – Sales, Science and Spirits, a collection of RPG Maker 2003 games that he’s made and remastered for 2025. If you like absurdist humour combined with a unique pixel-art style, you can check out its Steam store page here!

Also, a gentle reminder that if you want to support my writing and if you have the cash to spare, you can head on over to “Support Me” up above to go to my Ko-Fi page and donate as little as $5 to me and this blog. Writing these stories does take effort, and I do have to take time out of my free time each day to work on them. You can make a one-time donation or a recurring one, whatever suits you. And if you can’t donate, but you still want to support me, then please share this blog and these stories with your friends, your followers, or what have you. It all helps.

For now, enjoy Spiritbinders! I’ll see you all next week!
