Yeah, that turned out to be a load of nonsense, didn’t it?
Anyway, my third short story, Clanless, is finally out! Dumu, dragonkin warrior, joins the Bluebane Alliance in an effort to free the slaves of the Red Sands, but starts to doubt the motives of his superiors. You can read it here, or by navigating to the Short Stories tab at the top of the page!
Clanless is the longest short story I’ve written yet, and I think it’s going to set the tone for Tales from Karatera going forward. It’s taken a while for it to see the light of day, thanks to a multitude of factors mostly out of my control, but I’m hoping that the wait was worth it! If you do read it and enjoy it, please consider sharing it on whichever platforms are convenient for you, it really helps get my name out there. And if you want, you can also head over to the Support Me tab and donate as little as $5 to help support my hobby (I’ll probably keep writing regardless, so don’t worry if you can’t).
In other news, I finally moved out of home! I’m still in the process of setting up my own space, so I can’t dedicate as much time as I’d like to my writing just yet, but starting December or next year, I should be able to get my stories beta-read and edited much faster than before! A Matter of Faith is currently about halfway through beta reading and revision, and I’ve also started work on my fifth short story as well! The working title for this one is Makina, told from the perspective of a Redblood wizard named Rashan. I’m planning to use it as an excuse to delve deeper into the mechanics of magic in Karatera, as well as give you guys an insight into the Redblood perspective in the war for Karatera…
Anyway, that’s all for this week! I’ll hopefully see you two weeks from now with another blog post!
