Okay, so, the editor I contacted wasn’t available… but the editor they referred me to was! They haven’t started reviewing it quite just yet, as there’s still some stuff we need to work out before that, but it shouldn’t be long until Spiritbinders is up on the site!
In the meantime, I’m working on my second draft of Clanless, so that’s going pretty well, I think. Full disclosure, I didn’t do much writing on it this week. I spent half of my free time this week working on a Fallout-themed tabletop RPG of my own design. It’s based around the d20 system, except you have roll the d20 under a certain value instead of over, and you create your character by picking different abilities instead of choosing a class, and yes I know there’s already an official Fallout RPG but mine’s totally going to be better guys I promise.
Mind you, the nature of my lifestyle means that I have a good amount of free time, so I did have time to work on Clanless… which I spent instead writing a longform fanfiction on Archive of Our Own.My current project is a crossover thing between Dana Terrace’s The Owl House, and… also, Fallout. It’s about 30 chapters long, and still going strong. You can see it for yourself here, but you can’t view it unless you’ve got an account due to AI bots floating around the site scraping works for data (thank you, Internet).
After working on those two gargantuan endeavours, I still had a little bit of free time left… which I spent playing Skyrim as a swordsman/mage/alchemist, or playing Lies of P as a wrench-wielding powerhouse. I’m probably gonna start playing Nine Sols soon as well on top of that, so that’s another slab of free time that’s gonna be spent not writing Karatera.
So, uh… yeah. That’s been my week. Hopefully the next week is more productive.
